The human musculoskeletal system is a complex system with a variety of bone, cartilage, ligaments, tendons and muscles whose interaction provides your body with form, support, stability and a wide range of motion. To allow motion, different bones are connected by joints. Of the 100 joints in the human body the synovial joint is the most common type. To protect the bones, there is a delicate layer of cartilage and synovial fluid, which provides the cartilage with important nutrients and avoids the cartilage layers to rub against each other. The body receives the function of joints, however, this performance decreases as we get older and cartilage attrition is the result. The progressive degradation of cartilage leads to painful inflammations and joint diseases, such as osteoarthritis. Cartilage tissue will not be regenerated, but cartilage and bone can be enhanced with special joint nutrients.
