Production

CROMA is an international company with more than 430 employees in 6 different European countries and its own research department. CROMA is renowned for its effective and innovative health solutions and known as a competent partner for medical professionals and patients. But innovation does not only refer to the development of new products but also to the advancement of in-house production processes.

The foundation for the successful production of our medical devices in the ophthalmic area was laid in 1995 with the opening of our first manufacturing site for ophthalmic viscoelastics at Leobendorf. As a next step we switched to fully-automated filling of our viscoelastic fluids in 2000. Since then CROMA has been using its knowledge and experience in the area of ophthalmic viscoelastics also for the manufacturing of orthopaedic (osteoarthritis) and dermatologic (dermal fillers) products.

The patient’s safety is our highest priority. Therefore, we carefully select only high-quality materials and manufacture according to highest safety standards at our own production site. Accredited quality management institutes examine our production processes on a regular basis. In this way our products’ high quality and safety are further ensured.

In addition our highly skilled research teams are constantly searching for new and innovative technologies to improve and enhance our production steps.
